k-12 Physical Education - NAIS Career Center

The Hewitt School, a k-12 all-girls independent school, seeks a full time k-12 Physical Education teacher for the upcoming school year.? Physical Education teachers are responsible for planning and organizing lessons that contribute to the fitness and overall well-being of each student. This position requires creativity and adaptive thinking to match lesson objectives and instructional plans with students' age and abilities.? In addition, the teacher will work closely with the department to develop a cohesive k-12 physical education curriculum.? All physical education teachers are expected coach at least one interscholastic sport within our offerings.

Candidates should have a minimum of two years experience and degree in physical education; a masters degree is preferred. A strong background in orgzinational sjkills and classroom management skills, and a comprehensive background in health, fitness, and/or athletics is essential.
